Project Background:

Clean Energy Nepal and Clean Air Network Nepal successfully aired the 11 episodes of “Breathe Free Kathmandu” through Kantipur FM. The objective of this program was to generate solution oriented awareness amongst people and sensitize policy makers and political community in developing sound policies to reduce air pollution. The radio program contained experts’ interview, field report, voxpop, PSN (Public Service Network) and songs. 

 

Project Activities:
11 episodes of “Breathe Free Kathmandu” were aired through Kantipur FM 96.1 MHz, Nepal’s number one radio station.

 

Project Outcomes:
•    The program was able to disseminate information on important environmental issues to more than 6,00,000 people all over Nepal and in many parts of the world online.
•    Enhanced general understanding of relevant stakeholders on AQM related issues
