Prakash is a dedicated climate activist from Nepal, representing an indigenous community, and has been actively involved in youth-led environmental initiatives since 2016. Prakash is a student of environmental science, he specializes in communication, with a focus on graphic design and social media management.
His advocacy work primarily revolves around water and climate issues, and he has been actively engaged in organizing various youth activities and awareness programs across Nepal. Prakash has extensive experience working with YOUNGO, where he has served in multiple roles including communication lead, graphics designer, member of the Global coordination team, bottom-lining team member, and campaigner for the Nepal Youth Climate Action (NYCA).
Prakash has volunteered and served as an organizing team member for several international youth conferences such as the Virtual Conference of Youth, the Local Conference of Youth, and the 16th UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY 16), as well as RCOY APAC 2022. He represented YOUNGO at COP26 and COP27, and served as the delegation head of Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) at COP26 and COP27, and as an Ambassador and Youth National Delegate from Nepal at COP28. He also attended the UN Water Conference 2023 in New York to support the youth agenda of the conference.
Furthermore, Prakash has interned at the World Meteorological Organization and worked with organizations such as the Water and Climate Coalition and the United International Federation of Youth for Water and Climate (UNIFY). Currently, he is employed as a program coordinator at Clean Energy Nepal.
Shreya is a passionate climate justice activist. She is the advisor at Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA) where she formerly worked as National Network Coordinator. Being an active member of YOUNGO, the children and youth constituency of the UNFCCC, and also the Contact Person for the NDCs working group, she has worked with a diverse group of young people across the world to champion meaningful participation of young people in decision-making spaces. She is also the climate change champion of UNICEF South Asia and Campaign Coordinator of Mock COP. She has spoken at conferences such as COP25 and COP26 mainly on intergenerational justice and climate education. She was recognized as EE 30 under 30 by North American Association for Environmental Education for making a remarkable difference through environmental education and received the "Youth of the Year" award from Nepal Youth Council in 2022. Her story has been featured in two books "Stone Soup for a Sustainable World" and "50 Girls Saving Our Planet".
Deependra joined CEN from the year 2011 and has been managing the Administration and Finance team. He provides oversight to all admin and finance related work and is also responsible for implementing and controlling the accounting management, supervising financial management of projects and accounts, employee benefits, legal incidences and other issues about work relations. He has good knowledge in accountancy, budget management and computer applications. He has Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Tribhuvan University. Before joining CEN, he was the member of the management team of Bhotebahal Saving & Credit Cooperative. He loves sports and is actively participating in games. In future he is interested in engaging in social activities and promote sports for the youth through the club. Mr Dangol serve as founder member of Bhotebahal Youth Club.
Bimal has been facilitating all outreach related to administration and organizational management. In additional, he also coordinates procurement process, project approval and banking procedures. Bimaljoined Clean Energy Nepal in the year 2007 and has been working as Admin and Finance Officer in Clean Energy Nepal. He has completed his Bachelor’s in Management and is responsible for assisting in fulfilling all the administrative, financial and logistical needs of the organization. In the future he wants to be an expertise on different facets of accounting and finance systems.
