Seminar on Fuel economy and Exhaust Emissions Measurement in LDVs (Light Duty Vehicles) and Policy Development and Awareness Program
Seminar on Fuel economy and Exhaust Emissions Measurement in LDVs (Light Duty Vehicles) and Policy Development and Awareness Program for Fuel Economy Labelling and E-Mobility Promotion in Nepal was organized by Clean Energy Nepal on 1st November 2021, (15th Kartik, Monday). There were 25 participants in the program.
Amrit Man Nakarmi, Center of Energy Studies, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University presented on “Fuel economy and Exhaust Emissions Measurement in LDVs and Policy Development and Awareness Program”. Also, Mr. Sagar Mani Gyawali, Assistant Deputy Manager, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) “presented on Latest updates going on electric charging stations in Nepal”. Ms. Rejina Maskey, Professor, Tribhuvan university shared on Role of Academia in shifting towards e-mobility. Shankar P. Paudel, Department of Environment (DoE) spoke on “Plans, procedures, and initiations of Nepal government to maintain fuel economy labeling for vehicles”
The major objectives of the seminar were
To disseminate information regarding the final report of Fuel economy and Exhaust Emissions Measurement in LDVs and Policy Development and Awareness Program.
To capacitate the stakeholders about the adverse impacts of the petrol/diesel vehicles.
To sensitize the stakeholders like car dealers, companies and other government officials aware about the importance of electric vehicles
